Method of Travel:  Driving on your own from La Quinta Resort; plan on at least one hour to drive to the tram station.

A trip to the Palm Springs area would not be complete without a ride on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Featuring the world’s largest rotating tram car, the tram travels over two-and-one-half miles from the desert floor along the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon, transporting riders to the pristine wilderness of the Mt. San Jacinto State Park at an elevation over 8500 feet.

You will drive on your own from the La Quinta Resort to the parking area at the Tram’s Valley Station where you will join the other tour attendees. You will then board a 70 person tram car reserved especially for our Parade group. At the top, you will enjoy a delectable lunch at the Peaks Restaurant while taking in breathtaking views of the Coachella Valley. After lunch you will be on your own to explore the observation decks, natural history museum, two documentary theaters, a gift shop, and over 50 miles of hiking trails, before returning on the tram back to the Valley Station parking area.
