Porsche Parade 2023-SUV Off-Road Tour

Description: For the first time since the Boca Raton Parade, we will be offering an Off-Road tour during Parade!  This tour is partly on paved roads in order to get to the off-road sections. There are two portions of off-road driving, one out-and-back drive onto Painted Canyon Road and the other onto Little Box Canyon Trail. The Painted Canyon Road is classified as “easy” with mostly a gravel and sand surface. The Little Box Canyon Trail is also listed as “easy,” but a section of the return route on the Meccacopia Trail can be considered “moderate.” This route is still being validated based on weather as we get closer to Parade.

The tour ends at Chiriaco Summit on I-10, where you will pay your own tab at the restaurant, and where you may wish to tour the General Patton Museum.

It is very important on these off-road tours that your vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition!  Non-Porsche SUVs are welcome on this tour. Participants who register for the off-road tours will be given a self-inspection checklist during Parade sign-in to complete prior to the off-road tour. This off-road tour is being classified as a Category 2, although it is mostly Category 1 according to the PCA off-road minimum standards rating system. Lastly, it is important to stay hydrated on this tour. Bottled water will be provided at the staging area. Bringing some snacks is also a good idea. Remember, there is NO CELLPHONE SERVICE on these trails!
